If you need an impromptu light table, just open a blank document/browser window on your laptop (or LCD desktop monitor). Sweet!

Why didn’t I think of this? I built a contraption out of a piece of glass with some paper on the back and a lamp one day. Way to merge the old school with the new school!

Brilliant! And so simple! If I needed a portable “light table” I could use the Flashlight app on my iPhone, which just turns the display on at full brightness for a blank white screen. Great tip, Ross!
