		<description>Ah yes, what a shock it was... The first time I tried to make a portrait with my first digital (An Olympus C5050Z sold to me by the venerable Mike Myers way back in 2002.) I couldn&#039;t figure out why I couldn&#039;t throw the background out of focus. It only took a few minutes to figure out, what with my 25+ years of photo experience. Hah!
Eventually I learned to apply gaussian blur to the background using Photoshop, but it feels like, and is,  pure fakery.</description>
